Cup, Saucer, Fresh Pencils: A Throwback Sketch

There's something sparkling in the air... a breeze that makes me want to sit down at a tidy desk and mark important dates in my planner with a sharp pencil, a shift that has me considering cardigans and pants and - gasp! - boots.

I love this sketch for representing what is quintessentially fall, in my eyes: crisp white button-up shirts, animal prints, and denim, worn with academically inclined accessories like a plaid tie and schoolgirl glasses. It's an outfit that I would wake up excited to wear to school, an outfit for when the year is new and the notebook is not yet covered in doodles and the textbook is so fresh it still cracks when you open it.
